- Flatwork continued with Pam Miller at Ladyluck Equestrian and those attending benefitted from indoor tuition in the winter months, when weather allowed, plus subsidised school hire.
- A small, but intrepid group braved the wintry weather and visited the World Horse Welfare facility at Belwade Farm. The horses all looked tremendously well cared for and it was interesting to see Digger in the flesh prior to his recruitment into the army for training as a drum horse. We wish him all the best! The visit was followed up by a visit to Platform 22 in Torphins for a welcome, warming cup of coffee.
- No Hoof, No Horse Dinner and Talk with Matthew Jackson was well attended to the point of once again being over-subscribed. A completely new insight into horse nutrition and its eventual tributaries was shown to the group. News to some, old hat to others! Big thanks go to Joanne for supplying a super supper.
- Several members attended the Carriage Driving demonstration and tuition at Strathorn on 10th April and found it to be most informative. The demo was followed up with the opportunity to have a go and many took advantage. This proved to be a popular option and was quite an eye opener if you are normally in control of your horse from up top! Garry Picken did a fantastic job of explaining and demonstrating many aspects of carriage driving.
- Pony Trekking at Balmoral. This was fully subscribed as last time, the group that attended were more than fortunate with the weather, the morning group got soaked and were frozen to the bone, our group got the sunshine! A great time with good craik were had by all. Another trip to here is planned for June. See diary of events for more details.
